1984 Ontario Bi-Centennial Photo Archives Project – London Township

Collection of over 1000 photographs/negatives pertaining to the people and places of London Township created by Jo (Alison) & Bruce Shawyer is currently being  indexed.

London Township  – Local Architectural Conservation Advisory Committee (LACAC)

Collection of materials created by the committee representatives including correspondence, minutes, contact list of supporters and presentation resources.      * Includes an indexed collection of photographs of many heritage homes, churches and businesses in the former London Township.

Ilderton Agricultural Society

(London Township Agricultural Society)  – Collection of minute books (starting in 1851), prize lists (1916 to present), letters, ribbons, photographs, newspaper clippings and miscellaneous items.

London Township Families

Indexed collection of family histories submitted for the London Township History Book Project in the 1990’s.

Loft Scrapbook Collection

The Neva (Haskett) Loft’s Scrapbook collection is indexed. Collection includes an 1982 Lucan International Plowing Match scrapbook.

London Township Schools – Chris Duck’s  Collection

This collection is located on our reference book shelf and includes copies of various  deeds, photographs, newspaper clippings of schools located in the original London Township area. It also includes references for union schools, the university, private schools and high schools.  See the reference book list on our web site for further details.

Miscellaneous Township Schools

A variety of collections from the former townships of Delaware, Lobo, London and Westminster.   Highlights include Lobo Continuation School Newspaper (Vox Populi – circa 1937), 1967 Valleyview – “Memories of our Community”,  numerous Medway High School yearbooks (1951 – 2013), East Middlesex District High School Board (1961-68) photograph and a 1950’s S. S. # 2 (Delaware Central) school newspaper.

Miscellaneous Township Churches

A variety of collections of churches from the former townships of Delaware, Lobo, London and Westminster. Collections vary and may include photographs, minutes, church histories, local histories, posters, programs etc.

Komoka Women’s Institute

Record books include minutes, finances and attendance from 1915-1916, 1924-1941 and 1946-1973. Photograph albums (1973 to 1992) include photographs, newspaper clipping, ribbons and miscellaneous Komoka items. This collection also contains the Komoka Women’s Institute 60th Anniversary guest book and a binder with addtional newspaper clippings.

Delaware Women’s Institute

Record books include minutes, finances and attendance (1916 – 1976), Tweedsmuir Books – 2 volumes, a 1938-1939 Delaware Women’s Institute program and miscellaneous items.

Moyer Collection

This collection was created by Elizabeth “Betty” Moyer and includes scrapbooks containing early greeting cards, programs and pamphlets from the local areas in and around Delaware and Caradoc. Collection includes memorabilia from Christ Church, Delaware such as history of the church, photographs and a 1915 Good Friday program. Other miscellaneous items including local pictures, newspaper clippings, By-Laws for Delaware Valley Lodge and a Delaware Home Bank book.

Bycraft/Zavitz Collection

This collection was created by Anna Bycraft Ward with additional items from Ruth Bycraft Zavitz and David Zavitz. Collection includes scrapbooks, newspaper clippings, family histories, photographs, local histories, correspondence and much more all relating to the Poplar Hill and Coldstream in Lobo Township and the surrounding area. Collection includes references to the Society of Friends (Quakers) in the Coldstream area.

* includes business cards for principal farmers and business men in London, Westminster, Lobo, East Williams, McGillivary and Biddulph Townships.

 Ilderton Women’s Institute

 Records include minutes, finances and attendance (1923-1994), four Tweedsmuir histories from 1923-1998 and a scrapbook about early Ilderton businesses.
